The Pyrenean Mastiff holds a very special place in the history and daily life of Reis D'Aragón. Their nobility, calm temperament and balanced character are the qualities that made us fall in love with this breed, and the same qualities we continue to admire every time we share our lives with them.
We live closely alongside our mastiffs, respecting their needs and allowing them to develop naturally. They are dogs of great strength, but also of remarkable sensitivity and observation skills that often surprise those who truly get to know them. Their presence conveys calm, confidence and the balance that has made the Pyrenean Mastiff one of the great traditional guardian breeds of our land.
Each of them is part of our family and represents the values we strive to preserve from generation to generation: health, stability, nobility and a genuine bond with people. Our Pyrenean Mastiff Breeding Program
At Reis D'Aragón, we understand breeding as a long-term commitment to the breed, to each of our dogs, and to the families who place their trust in us.
We select our dogs according to health, temperament and breed type, always seeking balanced, self-confident mastiffs that preserve the essence that has defined the Pyrenean Mastiff for generations. For us, a good mastiff stands out not only for its structure or beauty, but also for its stability, nobility and ability to live harmoniously alongside people.
Our dogs are an integral part of our daily lives. The mastiffs enjoy large spaces where they can develop naturally, while mothers and their litters spend their first weeks in the home, in constant contact with the family. This allows us to closely follow the development of each puppy and provide early socialization in a calm family environment.
We highly vallue the breed's natural protective instinct, always combined with balance and serenity. Guarding ability does not depend on whether a dog is male or female, but on the qualities that define the Pyrenean Masstiff: awareness of its surroundings, confidence, trustworthiness and a deep bond with what it considers its own. For this reason, both our males and females naturally perform the watchful and protective role that has accompanied the breed for centuries.
We work with the same philosophy with wich we live alongside our dogs: respect, consistency and commitment. Our goal is to contribute to the preservation of the Pyrenean Mastiff by breeding healthy, balanced dogs that remain true to the noble character that first made us fall in love with this breed.

People sometimes assume that a large Pyrenean Mastiff is a heavy or slow-moving dog, but the reality is quite different.
In this video, several of our mastiffs can be seen enjoying their play time freely. Their size and strenght are perfectly compatible with agility and the ability to move with ease whenever the situation requires it.
